The department of fine arts was opened in 1983.  The first Sister iconographer ministry started in 1985.  In addition to writing icons as a ministry and by commission, Sister iconographers also give presentations and conduct demonstrations and workshops on this ancient and prayerful art form.  Visitors are welcome at the Icon shop and fine arts display at the Religious Gift Shop that is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.  For further information, call (724) 439-6180.
